A dibber, or dibbler, is a simple garden tool that has been used since Roman times! When I was in England I saw a vintage wooden one that had been used so often it had developed the most beautiful sheen and patina. I’ve regretted not buying it so many times!
I’m hoping to recreate something that beautiful, and useful, by offering these hand turned dibbers. They are handmade by a gentleman wood worker in Colorado. Each one is marked with 1 inch increments to allow for proper seed planting depth. As they are hand turned each one is slightly different in shape and size.
This particular dibber is larger than is typical. It is perfect for anything that needs more depth such as bulbs, potatoes or leeks. It is 14 inches tall and very robust.
