Peonies are one of the most iconic and spectacular of late spring flowers, delighting us each spring with their beautiful blossoms in the garden and in arrangements. In our workshop, you will learn how to make a beautiful arrangement using peonies and other spring blooms in a handmade vase. You’ll also get up close and personal with peonies growing in the field, and enjoy a morning of beauty and nature at Frogs Hollow Farm.

You’ll be invited into the garden for a tour of the peony field and Anna’s gardens to learn about peonies, her approach to gardening, and what it means to be a steward of the land. After the tour, we will head back to the barn to do some arranging with peonies and other spring blooms! Gretchen will discuss the selection of the best vases and vessels for peonies and other spring flowers and how the signature Spring #2 vase is designed and made.

After selecting their own handmade vase, participants will assemble their own unique arrangement that celebrates spring!

Homemade seasonal refreshments are provided during the workshop.

A little about us…

Frogs Hollow is a family-owned farm located in the tranquil Hopewell Valley of New Jersey. Sited on a historic farm where we strive to live in harmony with the seasons, we grow many varieties of blooms but specialize in peonies. We offer workshops and host barn sales throughout the year.

Utilis Collective creates and sells useful and lovely ceramic pieces for the home. Founder Gretchen Overhiser’s background in decorative arts, history, and education inspires her belief that the things we use and see in daily life should be useful, beautiful, and intentionally chosen to help us create the life we wish to live.
